Hi All,

If you were offered an option to choose between Saskatchewan and New Brunswick to settle in? Which one is better in terms of:

- cost of living
- Job opportunities (IT-related)
- Raising families/children
- Medical Services
- Weather
- Any other aspect

I highly appreciate your feedback on this, especially from those who live in any of the two provinces.

Thanks a lot.

NB - cost of living
SK - Job opportunities (IT-related)
NB - Raising families/children
Same - Medical Services
NB - Weather
NB - Any other aspect

New Brunswick, if you ask me.
Saskatchewan is damn cold.

Check Edmonton for IT Related Jobs

But it's a cold city so with family [especially kids] you will not like it.

Why not Toronto or Vancouver?

More jobs in both, much better weather in Vancouver than anywhere else.

Good Luck

^ I think the threadstarter is considering provincial nomination. Those two provinces are relatively open at the moment. Most other provinces have restricted their nomination program already.

If PNP is the consideration then a job will not likely be an issue in either province. NB in my mind is the better choice allround then. Atlantic Canada is a nice place to live. I live in NS. Love it here.

I live in New Brunswick now and I lived in MB and AB previously (also traveled extensively in SK).
In terms of job availability SK is FAR better than NB. There is also less discrimination of immigrants in SK because the province was essentially built by immigrants from all over (not Anglo-Saxons). NB has a lot more of "we are locals, and you are from away" mentality, it's definitely harder to fit in here or make real friends. I mean friends, not just people who wave, smile, say hello and forget about your existence the following second.
On the other hand NB has milder climate, more picturesque landscape, a sea is nearby, and real estate is inexpensive (but this is exactly because there are no jobs).
