With two years of experience, 2174 will be the safest way. As for the job opportunities, I am skeptical too, even with over 8 yrs of experience. The competition is stiff and despite our area falling under purely technical jobs, "Canadian experience" is a major barrier. You also should keep in mind that there is a huge influx of immigrants such as ourselves. Demand is less than supply.

Think a lot before starting the process.

HI All,

I am applying for Canada Immigration. Can some one tell me which unit group i come under.I have 5+ years of experience in SAP BI.

Hello All Expeerts,

I am working as FICO consultant, having 5+ years of experience. What is the NOC code for SAP (FICO) for applying PR ?

Help and guidance would be very much appreciable. As I can see most of the threads are showing and suggesting altogether different NOC codes this made me confused a lot.

Regards,
Pankaj.Pab

Hi Pankaj.Pab,

I agree - the NOC codes are not intuitive at all. We have created a NOC selection guide for SAP consultants which makes it clear (mapleleafsap.com).

Functional consultants would use 2171.

Thanks
Bernhard

DSD,

I was in similar situation.

I got reference letters from a senior colleague, a client in US and partner firm member. They were not on original letterheads but all my contacts wrote their designation and company name in signatures.

I was never asked for anything else and no interview was requested.

Regards, SWA

Dear SWA ,
One more Que :
looks like my current immediate boss may not be willing to sign ref letter , in that case is it okay if I get it done form my colleague who is Sr to me in my team right now. ???

Your situation is going ahead just like mine did. My boss wasn't much help either. Yes, you can have your senior colleague give you a reference letter. Ask him if he is comfortable giving his company mail id in his signatures. Also, ask for his official visiting card and a copy of his employee badge. That's what I bundled with reference letter.

Hi

Its not recommended to prepare single JD for all. There is great chance they will consider it as fake as you are not suppose to prepare yourself it should be done by employer. Better to ask them to do so. If in case you are perparing yourself make some significant changes all should not look same

good luck
