I am SAP FICO Consultant with 8 years of experience.
Applied under NOC 2171.

I am planning to do certification before moving to Canada.
Will it be a good idea to do certification in India itself or it would be better to do it in Canada?

I first appreciate on the decision of taking certification which will increase the value of you profile for sure.

I would suggest you to better finish it of in India and proceed to Canada which has 2 advantages.

1) Cost of the certification
2) Time ( after you land , you need to concentrate in job hunt and gettin settled there) Doing certificatio need more concentration and dedication to crack it on the 1st attempt eventhough you hav 8 years of experience.

Hi,

No, there are no extra points for the additional certifications that we do apart from our regular, full time education in CRS.

Role of SAP certification comes only in Job Hunt

No points for SAP Certification.

Though it will help you and expedite your job hunt.

Sask and NB are giving PNP for 2171. NB is always open. Sask is closed now but expected to open in Jan. Also keep an eye on Alberta.
