I haven't, do you think it's a good a idea to request them? I check everything every day but no changes so far. I only lived in Brazil and Canada, so if they ever have to ask for more documents it would be the fingerprints, I think. I know it's normal to take long, it's just a very hard wait!

It won't hurt to request the notes! I also check everything everyday, but I really don't trust them to update the information very quickly. Our BC changed to IP the day after we requested the notes - I think our request either prompted them to update our info online or to pick up our file and continue to work on it if they hadn't been. Either way it was good to see a change and I'm really looking forward to having more detailed information when the notes arrive in a few weeks! Even if we get PPR before the notes arrive (wishful thinking) it'll be interesting to see some of the thoughts behind processing our application!
My husband also lived in just Brazil and Canada so we'll watch your BC and see how long it takes!
Are you living separately? Both in Brazil? We're both in Brazil and while I sent as much proof of my intention to return as possible, I half expect them to request more before they issue PPR.

I totally agree with you and already requested my notes, maybe it'll make things go a little bit faster too. We're both in Canada now, I really don't know what to expect next. Hopefully they won't ask you to send anything else since you sent many proofs! If I have any updates I'll let you know, good luck to us :)

Hello!
I received my CoPR on April 7th (last Friday) by registered mail, since there was nobody home, they tried to deliver it again on the 10th (last Monday). So happy this last process was very fast!
My recommendation to the ones waiting is: keep the faith until you receive news, unless if it's been a too long wait compared to all the other people with the same timeline. It's probablem that you get good news at any time! =)
thanks a lot for the supportive people in this forum and hope you all will have landed in a short time!

Congrats JZ_SP!

It's good to know it doesn't take too long to receive the COPR! When exactly did you send your passport and how? Sedex? Carta registrada?

When do you plan on landing? I'm excited for you! Let us know hoe it goes! :)

no news....I am so anxious!!!!

Same here! I keep looking at JZ_SP's timeline and hoping ours will be similar! If it is, that means we should get PPR in about a month, or less! And there are a handful of us in background check now! I hope we all get PPR soon! Your BC changed to IP about a week before ours, so I'm watching you and Bea07 too!

Hi everyone! Quick question as well as update. We have received a letter to re-submit some documents:
- Medicals (they have expired)
- Police checks
- Pay for Permanent Residence Fee

----
We have completed all the above and the package with this requested info is now on the way to the consulate in Sao Paulo! We are so excited - feels like we are almost done. Does anyone know approx how long it takes from here to get an answer or receive the passport request paper? Anyone here have experience with this wait time at this level of the process? Thank you all in advance - things are moving!

Hi, you can look at SP VO spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oxtxHTuTsPO6yPZUQDZ-f5R-JXSmxKPFaWTVHrU5HXM/edit?usp=sharing to have an idea about the time.
Cheers!

How do you not know your VO? Did your sponsor get approved? It should say what VO they forwarded the application to in the letter the sponsor gets when they're approved.

We received our notes today!

By the dates in the notes it looks like they worked on our application in November when they received it and then didn't touch it again until the day we requested the notes. So we're going to be requesting them again.

That must be a little frustrating :( I'm gonna receive mine next week, if there's anything interesting I'll let you know here!

It's definitely frustrating! I was hoping we'd get PPR early next month, but after receiving the notes I'm less hopeful!

The consolation is that we saw "recommended pass" in a couple places! Also the criminality has a due date of today - though I hear that doesn't really mean anything. And BC is still IP on MyCIC this morning.

I hope you see more action on your application when you get notes than we see in ours!

Hi all,
We also received our notes today! Can someone help us figure out how to decipher them? Is there a post talking about this?
Thanks!

Hey! This is the most popular thread about the notes: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/gcms-notes-well-explained-has-never-before-until-now-t390292.0.html

There is a lot of irrelevant stuff in the notes because there are sections for refugee claims and express entry that doesn't apply to us. I think the most important part is the last page(s) where you can see the officers actual notes in bold. In that section it should say if they believe your relationship is genuine, if the proof you provided supports that, and if it seems to be bona fide. That's what you want to see! You should also be able to see in the notes section anything you submitted after the application was received. I can see an email we sent and the documents attached, but the notes just say I sent additional proof of relationship (but it's actually proof of intention to return) and a copy-paste of what I said in the email - I don't think they actually read or looked at what I sent!

I hope you find good news in your notes!
