Hi,

My visa office is from São paulo, I've done my Medical Exam and then the magical line is showed on my e-cas as "Medical Results have been received".
I already sent my Police Clearance Certificate to São Paulo on March 28,
Do you know how long it usually takes for having the maple leaf stamped on my passport ?

Please advise me !.

When did you you mail the application? When did you receive the Sponsorship Approval? Did they request for the Police Certificate? You could base your timeline on the date your file reached São Paulo.
They have been updating the 'Medical results have been received' earlier now, for most of us. It used to be a sign that your application's at the final stages but now it seems to be updated at Mississauga (I got the update a few days after the Sponsorship Approval letter), but it's still good news that your medical results went through.
Once your online status changes to 'In Process', it will take a few weeks (basing on the most recent applicants' timeline) for the Visa Office to request you to send the passport and they seem to be keeping it for about a month now, give or take.

Hi Ellasg,

Sorry about that, but my program is under a Provincial Nominee Program from Ontario,
It reached to São Paulo Visa Office on November 13, 2013,

It shows on e-cas that they started processing my application on February 25, 2014 and since that time I also can see my online status to "In Process". I received the Medical Request and I have done it on March 06 2014.

After a week they updated my e-cas to "Medical Results have been received" and I have sent my Police Clearance Certificate to Sao Paulo Visa Office on March 28.

Do you think it is going to take a month for passport request?

Many thanks for your quickly reply !.

Oh I see, most of us have upfront medical exams and send the Police Certificates with the rest of the application when applying under the Family Class. So it's a little bit different.

But unless the Background Check is different for PNP applicants, I'm pretty sure you're at the final stages and you should expect a passport request in a month or so. :D Keep us updated anyway.

Hi,

It is not going to there anymore, everything is online right now so the doctor adds the results to a computer system and CIC has access to it.
I believe it expires after 90 days.

ok now i am truly confused, because the Lawyer we used she said that is where it goes to get reviewed and then sent back. I am truly starting to think the lawyer is some how slowing things down for me.

has anyone seeked help from their MP? and if so, did it help?

when does the 11 months process time for my spouse start? is it the day I was approved or the day they got it here in Canada or the day they recieved it in brazil?

I also have noticed there are people here that sent in their applications months after I did and they have alreaddy landed. I thought each process was dealt with as they came in?

so confused and frustrated....

Someone else told me they start counting as soon as the application arrives in São Paulo (Stage 2).

And when you don't pay the Permanent Resident fee in advance, it adds a few months to the process. Did you hire a lawyer to organize your application? Do you think your application had any red flags?
