You mean 3 months, right? You filed your application on the last day of October!

I actually filed it on September 30! My bad, I just fixed the summary.

They will!! They just LOVE to test our patience.

Congrats, by the way! Would you like to be added to our spreadsheet? I know it is maybe a little late, but it might give the future generation of applicants (hahahah) an idea of what to expect.

Hello guys , i am back with some doubts again :-X

In form number IMM5669, who is the principle applicant, is it me ( i am the sponsor) or my wife (i am sponsoring her). Basically who is the principle applicant in forms. I read the instructions but its making me crazy or might be i am missing something.

Another doubt, Who is the principal applicant in IMM 5406, do we have to fill 2 IMM 5406? One with my info (Sponsor) and one with my wife info(Sponsored)?

You are "the sponsor" and she is "the principal applicant".

Thanks for the clarification Ellasg. this thing is making me crazy everyday

Another question, i dont know if i am thinking too much these days on these immigration forms :-\

Is it ok to validate IMM1344 in Canada, send to my wife by email and then she prints in Brazil, sign it and send all the forms back to me. I want to save time and hurry up with our pr paperwork. I noticed that every time i print IMM1344, it re-generates a new bar code.

Is it fine to do like this? I can print and send IMM1344 to her but this will easily delay by 15 days. I called CIC to check on this but the girl i talked to was not sure on this.

Could I please be updated in the spreadsheet? My husband's application changed to "In Process" on Jan 16, 2014.

Thanks :)

Thanks :)

Then you are almost there! Give it anywhere from a few days to a couple weeks and they will ask for your passport!

They are working faster now! Impressive!

We sent out application today via canada post x-press. A bit later than expected, but at least it's not sitting at home anymore.
I am sooooo nervous and paranoid that they are going to to send it back or refuse, that we missed stuff did not filled the forms correctly, even though we reviewed it several times and sent all the proof we could possibly find! But at the same time I am relieved that now it's out of our hands!
We are going to start to prepare everything for the Quebec part of the process.
And now I look for ways to get a new work permit, because unless everything is done in 5 months(which it probably won't) I will end up without a job for a while. But things will work out no matter what, at least I am able to work and save money until my visa expires.

Now the waiting begins!
Thanks for all the help so far!

My husband got his passport request today!!! The whole process only took around 4 1/2 months!! ;D Soo happy!

The only thing is in the e-mail it stated:
Dear Sir/Madam,

This e-mail is in reference to your client, permanent resident application number above.

Please be informed that we are ready to finalize this case. Would you kindly advise your client to forward us the passport?

--the application number was not stated above, and they did not say my husbands name in the e-mail. Is this normal?

Good luck to all of those that are applying now, I'm hoping it will be quick for you all!!
