Has anyone gone thru santiago , if so has anyone been approved and how long it's taken.

Didn't see this before.

I'm currently going through Santiago. We got sponsorship approval last week.

My research has given me the impression you have 1 in 3 chance to get PR within a year (this is not exact).
Our VO has a 90% approval rate.

Hopefully we'll get approved sooner than later

Hi, I'am an April's applicant and I'm doing the process from Santiago, Chile as well
they received my application on April 2nd and on Jul 9th they sent me an email saying that they cannot process my application as it was incomplete (i forgot to add 4 passport photos and the original medical report form).
short story, i did all the asked me and on aug 3rd my spouse got an email saying that his sponsorship had been approved and all the documents had been forwarded to the vissa office in Santiago.
on august 30th CIC heath branch sent me a letter by mail, which i go on sept 22nd, saying they needed further medical exams (hiv test). the thing is that i did that test. apparently they didn't get the first i did, so de doctor sent the same exam again.
on october 15th i realized that my E-CAS showed me that my medical exams had been received. how ever i havent heard anything from them...
i don't what that means, i have no idea if they'll call me for an interview or anything.

all this thing stresses me out!
is there anyone who did all this errand in santiago, chile?? i just want an idea of what i should expect now

I just started my process, so I can't help you out We can compare timelines, since I got my sponsorship approval around Oct 15 as well. Hopefully they should be working on our papers at more or less the same time.

Anyway, from my little experience, I would think they will contact you if they need any further information. You can try to contact the embassy too, but there is not certainty that they will write back ???

Hi there just letting you know we got our second ack the other day stated we now processing your application as of the 11 October and in can take 7 to 10 months to finalize

You mean you got 2nd stage AOR? From Santiago visa office?
We got ours too, but it stated it could take 10 to 12 months. 7 to 10 months it's a huge improvement over ours (received by the visa office on Oct 18th).

Hi!

I'm currently going through Stgo VO. I got an AOR from them a couple of weeks ago, in which they mentioned the process should take between 10 to 12 months. In our case, that means any time between July and August next year. I hope!

I think that if we got our files transfered to Stgo VO, all we can do now is wait : not easy to do!

Hey Chileans! well.. I got one more question. DId you guys submit your police certificate and '' hoja de vida del conductor'' together with your application at the beginning? coz I didn't. the thing is that yesterday I got an email from the embassy requesting those docs to continue with the process. also, they made me update 3 forms that I had already filled and sent out (IMM0008 Generic form for Canada, IMM5406 Additional Family Information, and Schedule A Background/Declaration). so today in the morning i went to the ''registro civil'' and i got the certificates. I was really anxious so i went to the embassy right away and submitted them. They made me wait to see if everything was ok. and thats all. i guess ill have to keep waiting.

I just wanted to share this (specially with you, KYC221) since you have answered some of my questions and we have kind of similar timelines

Yes, I added the Hoja de Vida del Conductor and police check to my original application. On the other hand, I think they made you update those forms because there was an update of those during the year; in the August thread some realized they had sent the February outdated forms, instead of the newer ones (updated around May I think, or something like that). If they simply asked you to re-fill them out, you are luckier than some of the guys in the Aug thread, who had their whole package sent back to them!

Anyway, I think it's good news that they asked you for these papers. It means they are working on your case!

Just thought I would mention that I got an email today asking for me to send them a few forms again, along the Certificado de Antecedentes & Hoja de Vida del Conductor.

Do any of you have any news yet? Have you heard anything else from the Embassy?
