hey guys.. I got an email from immigration and I was called for an interview... :/ I kind of freaked out... also, they asked me to bring documents to demonstrate that I kept the relationship during this year i've been in chile. I guess i'll have to star to collect all the necessary information. ahhhhhhhhh!!!!

Wow, well... be prepared! collect proof that you've kept an ongoing relationship (Skype logs? Phone bills? Save SMS you've sent each other? print e-mails?), and be ready to answer their questions faithfully and fully. If your relationship is genuine, you shouldn't worry ;D

When is the date for?

Keep us updated, and good luck!

hi guys!! as i told you before i was called for an interviewed, which was today! everything was well. the officer just made me update one of the forms, and she asked what is my relationship with my partner like during this year apart, and what were my plans with my partner when i get back to canada. and that's it. she, actually was really nice, she was totally comprehensive and she smiled more than once while I was answering her questions. then at the end she asked if a thought that my relationship was something forever. then she told i was approved and my sponsor needed to pay RPRF and bring my passport to the visa office.

so that was my experience i hope it help to anyone who is going through the same process.

good luck to all, and thank you for everything. this forum did actually helped me a lot. now I finally will be reunited with the love of life!!

Hello, I would like to know if after they received your file in Santiago, they asked for some certificates and updated forms in November? and after the interview, you dropped off your passport and then how long it takes to get it back?. Cheers and all the best. P.S they just received my file in Santiago.

Hey! Yeah i submitted my passport two days after the interview, and then a week after they emaild me asking if i can travel before july since my passport was about to expire. I said yes and then i fot a onother email at the next day requiring to send the copy of my RPRF to some missisagua office by email. And thats it, i just got a call from the embassy saying that my visa was already issued and i can come to pick it up.

FINALLY THIS IS ALL DONE!!

Hey compatriotas!

I don't know if you guys know I'm pregnant. I'm 3 months along, and everything is fine with me and the baby. After getting the confirmation from the MD that I have a low-risk pregnancy, we let the Canadian embassy know yesterday about our "development".

I didn't expect the embassy to call this morning, though. They basically said they had received my email, and after checking my application, they were ready to issue my visa! The one problem was, though, that my medicals expire on May 25th. They gave me two options: either land before May 25th, or wait until the baby is born-- which means we wouldn't be able to move to Canada until around April next year.

So, we decided to leave in 3 to 4 weeks :) They're giving me a special permission to go to the embassy out of office hours next week to drop off my passport, and I'll be done :D

I never expected the pregnancy to work in our favour this way, but it seems in this case, it did :)

Best luck to everyone!
