Dear friends and members..
i hope your day/evening is going well.

i landed in canada in 2006 as a student, lived there for 8 years, lost my statues as an international student, was started in my country,
i claimed a refugee statues and at the first meeting(not the hearing) i admitted for studying with an expired study permit, anyhow
i got denied for not providing enough supportive documents regarding my refugee claim, the gudge wasnt convinced of my hearing, i Appeal also got denied, i was issued a deportation order, then immigration offered me PRRA which i declined and i voluntarily left, (they paid for my ticket) and i left within the time line they gave me. i left 2013
i met the love of my life back in 2011, and we officially started dating 2012, due to distance we never lived together i was in quebec he was in alberta, but we always managed to visit each other and call msg.
also when i left canada i went to my home land which was unbearable i left within a month, travelling europe not i'm residing in europe.
my bf came to visit me twice since i left canada, we decided to get MARRIED!
im very excited, yet worried because we have to relocate in canada, which is going to be very challenging i think, since i have showed intentions of staying before and violating my visa.
we decided to get married in europe which almost is all set and organised, we are going to file and outland sponsor application
my questions are.
what are the chances to obtain an arc?
whats is the time waiting period to land in canada?
also is it possible to visit him on a visitor visa?
during the processing time, will canada send any documents to my home land regarding my gay marriage?
we have so much proof that this relation/marriage is genuine, from photos to calls/pictured/flight tickets/ vacations/letters from friends and family...but not from my side as i came from a culture and a country where you will be beheaded for such a marriage

thank you for your time.

Yes, there's certainly a very good chance the arc will be approved. It's hard to say what your processing times will be - but you should assume the processing times will be longer than those posted on the CIC web site due to your immigration history in Canada. There's probably a good chance you may have to attend an interview as well as part of the PR process. Assume it won't be possible to obtain a visitor visa due to your immigration history.

I agreed - you have a real good chance. I know a guy from the post I follow (port of Spain) who had the same situation or similar as you and he too is gay : here is what he once mentioned in the post. And today he is landed (he had to provide ARC and had interview)

Here is what he said :

Thanks for the positive vibes impatient :)

I am in a bit of a hurry but I will give you a quick response to your questions.

I have applied since June last year at CPC-M. But, my case is not so straight forward just because I lived in Canada and was a failed Refugee and PRRA applicant. Entered though as a minor and lived there for 8 year. I adapted very well to the society and have done quite a lot in terms of education and community service work. I am no where close to being a criminal or anything like that. I was dipped back (deported) home due to my failed applications back in January this year.

Here I am still waiting on POS to effing give me answers.

All my contact information for POS to correspond with me is in Canada so I guess they probably gave me that option but I screwed up because my old cell number which is on my file is no longer in use... crap, I should change that

Talk later
