SAIT College Calgary. beware

I wasted lot of time with Sait college Calgary.
Last Mar apply for my sister and in law neice in diploma in BA and petrolium diploma Sep intake.

In Aug both got refusal : No maths in 12 so no admission in DBA. And. Petrolium course was no seat available. Then sait told to apply for Petrolium diploma again for Jan intake. Again 250$fees. then refusal for Petrolium as no seat (already full when they ask to apply in Aug but they didnt tell till Jan last week.

Try Red Deer collage ; Lethbridge collage (2~3hour far towns) or if wanna apply in Calgary. See bow valley collage those much better. They will tell you before applying that seats are available or not. Plus give u conditional offer letter if your IELTS is less or need maths upgrade.
Application fees 60~130$ instead of 250 like in sait.

Hey, I understand that you applied SAIT. I also applied to SAIT and got a conditional letter. Of course, my study permit applied with SAIT letter. If SAIT refuses, what it will be happen for international students? I mean, their study permit will get a trouble. Is that college faults or the student?

I know our 8 student in Sait.
All they want is money. Fine they need 250$ for application fee. But when courses already full 2 months ago. No seats available. And already 20-22 waiting. They never tell you fact. And ask you to apply and keep u waiting until last moment for refusal letter.
Student could have applied in other collage. Who tell them if seats available or not in advance.

My study permit approved with SAIT letter last month. I wonder, SAIT can break the study permit law, because they dont have any seats. Is that correct?

I think u didnt get Point.

Sait won't stop student from applying even if they won't left any seat. And then once course about to start they refuse there application. Stating seat finish.

If you attend SAIT open house (Oct 24-26 or Oct 25-26) or apply online for a program on those days, first application is free and subsequent application is $50.

You can compare SAIT with NAIT but not with other colleges such as Bow Valley, Red Deer due to lack of sufficient technical programs. This is one of the main reasons that seats are booked at SAIT quickly.

SAIT also offers conditional offer letter if the student doesn't meet English/Math criteria but the student is willing to take upgrading course at SAIT.

ok, so my study permit and sait letter does not guarantee my seat. Is that correct? I visited to sait several times, she took my student id and checked the seat. I thought, it is kind of process in order to book a seat. I need to figure out what is going on.. Cause my former roommate was waiting for SAIT, there was no problem to study from sept after completed EFL. Thanks a lot.

If you apply during open house, 1st application is free and after that it's $50.

Best to keep second option ready.
Normally if u done ESL from there and applied within deadline it shouldn't not be problem. But SAIT is getting so many application from people abroad plus people already in other prov. So that doing lit of pick and nick.
