Safe way to send passport to CHC Delhi for PR visa stamping

Dear All,

My PR file was processing in CPC-ottawa, I received passport request from for visa. Now the problem is that I am in India, So don't know how to send passport. Few people told me that I can send passport to Canada high commission new delhi for Visa stamping with the passport request mail received from CPC ottawa. Even in the mail which I received its mentioned that if you are not in North America, contact us at CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca so that we can make arrangements to print visas at another office.

Now my confusion is that how to send passport to CHC new delhi? Will they stamp visa in this case? If I send by Courier how I will track that when they are going to stamp Visa and send back the passport? Should I use VFS passport transmission services? Please advise if anybody PR file processed in Canada and they sent their passport to CHC new delhi for PR visa stamping? Just confused and don't want to wast time as only 20 days left in hand......they provided 30 days to send passport.....Please help!!!

Durgesh, you need to respond back your "ready for visa" email to change the VO to CHC, New Delhi.
Once you receive confirmation that you file transferred to CHC, New Delhi for Visa stamping, take the printout of the email and your passports with 2 photographs and submit to any VFS office in India.
You will get visa and COPR after two weeks from the submission to CHC, New Delhi. It takes 2-3 weeks for file transfer and once you receive response from CPC Ottawa then you will get 30 days time period to submit your passport to CHC, New Delhi.

After visa stamping, are the passports sent back thru courier or is there any option to pick them from VFS or CHC?

You have to select option in VFS while submitting your passports.
You can either select courier at your desire address or pick up from the VFS office.
There is additonal cost for courier service, check VFS website for exact details!

I am in the same situation as Durgesh - got a request for submission of the passport to Ottawa. I have asked them to organise for passport stamping within India. HI Tabretha, Send a remainder mail to CIC immediately and call to CIC agent and check on it. CIC will extend the days for passport submission if any request for visa stamping office change. Once they change to delhi you can go via VFS
