One of the requirements mentioned in the Visa Specific under "Children's Information" form for New Delhi states

"Proof of custody for children under the age of 18 and proof that the children may
be removed from the jurisdiction of the court"

What all proofs needs to be submitted. My daughter is a three years old and goes to a play school
I have her


  • Birth Certificate
  • Immunization record

  • Play school admission slip and fee receipts

I think Birth Certificate showing the names of the parents should be fine.

I don't really understand what they mean. I guess BC should be enough as long as both parents are applying together.

I wonder if they want proof that the child has not been put under the jurisdiction of the court. If that is the case, then maybe you need to prove that. Best to wait for someone else with this experience to answer. Good luck.

It would only apply if one parent was emigrating with the child and the parents were separated or divorced. The parent emigrating would have to prove custody and the ability to take the child outside the country.

My thought too was that if both parents applying together, birth certficate itself should be sufficient but wanted to your opinion as well. Thanks a ton
