I am ready to send the documents. But i need to know how to send the photographs. I have written name,height and color of eyes of each persons pictures. Sealed them in different envelopes. Now , on all the envelopes should I write my name and date of birth or i should write each person's name and date of birth? plz, reply fast.

I can't remember what I did and I don't remember what the instructions are on the CIC website.

If there is no instructions, then write each person's info on the envelope. They will know from everything arriving together that you are the main applicant. Do that only if there is no instructions for what to write on the envelope.

I am copying the instruction from the guide, but the instruction is not clear to me, so please explain to me what is is saying.

Follow these steps:Step Action
1 Take the Photo Specification sheet (found in Appendix B of the Visa Office specific instructions) to a photographer.
2 Ask the photographer to provide you with six photos of yourself and each family member.
3 On the back of one photo for each person, write the name of the person appearing in the photo and his or her height and eye colour.
4 Enclose the photos of each person in an envelope and seal the envelope.
5 Write your name and date of birth on the outside of the envelope.
6 Staple the envelope to your application form. Be careful not to staple or bend the photos.

In instruction 5, what does "you" mean? Does it mean its the applicants name and DOB on all envelopes. please say your opinion.

Write the details behind one of each person's photo. put it in a separate envelope for everyone. and write the same detail also on envelope.. and seal it.

it is not mention but doing this way is easier for visa officer.

Yasirmajid - Do you know if they have to seal all the photos in one envelope or each person's photo gets an envelope.

Raqib - I read it wrong, it does say "your" name, so i guess Yasir's makes more sense than what I said.

Canadap - let us know what you think as well. I have no experience in this and the OP wants to send it urgently. I guess your application was accepted so what we said earlier probably works.

By the way, for something like this (the envelope), i really don't think it matter. They are going to throw away the envelope one day.

What I do is... First of all I follow the instruction and then choose best option for it. How it will be helpful to Officer who is looking at it.


1. I got 3 envelope for each person.

2. Wrote full name, date of birth, and color of eyes behind of one photo of each person.

3. Put them in separate envelope.

4. Wrote same details as 2 on each envelope. For principal applicant ...I wrote principal applican on one envelope...thats it.

5. and sealed it.

when you send initial application to Sydney NS, you don't need them.. just fill all the application forms and send it along with Canadian dollar fee.

In the Application form by Principal Applicant..On the second page it asks for family member information
i've a 3yrs daughter..
Questions..
1) What shud I write for Total Number of Education for my daughter( it's a number field jus takes number only) Should I put 0?
2) What shud i write for Level Of education? (it's a dropdown list with pre defined choices)
3) what in Identity card number? As my daughter doesnt have america passport, licence or anything..

Q1: it should be 0... Let clarify by other seniors.

Q2: It should be No Secondary as well.

Q3: N/A I filled up N/A in my case even if I have USA License. because I was not clear about Identity Card. Senior Please clear this point.
