Thanks, but I am not visa exempt. What about non-exempt folks? my question is - if I am not allwed to board plane without PR after landing how come I will be allowed to board the first time - before landing (when I am taking the flight with my passport and CoPR to do the landing)?

You're missing a part of the process that's been explained. Remember that part where you have to submit your passport once you get PPR (The Golden Email)? You submit the passport so that they can give you a single-entry visa counterfoil, also known as the PR Visa. That's what allows you to board the first time to enter Canada and claim your PR. After you use it once, it is no longer valid.

ok thanks, I was under the wrong impression that they take the passport to print a permanet resident visa on passport and I though that (the PR visa stamped on passport) is what is called CoPR. Now it is clear to me. Thanks.

Yeah, all the terms can be a bit confusing. Just for further clarification, just in case you aren't sure, the COPR is the Confirmation of Permanent Residence Letter that you will also need to take with you at the point of landing.

A few things to note about the COPR: Do NOT sign it until you are in front of the Immigration Officer at your landing, and they tell you to. Then after that, keep it somewhere safe; someone told me you may need to show the document again, maybe when you eventually apply for citizenship (although I don't know how true that is).

Ok thanks, makes sense, will the CoPR be a hard copy they will send me with my passport or a soft copy they will send by email? thanks

I think it's supposed to be a hard copy you get back along with the passport once it's returned with the single-entry visa counterfoil.
