To whome and why RQ is issued ??

I applied in april 2011.processing started in march 2012.did not get any call for test yet ?? waiting :'(

first landed in 2006.
went back to home country after 3 months.
came back to canada in 2007.

will I get an RQ ?? :'(

Hi,

First of all the first mistake u left the land for a year now only your Good luck can save you. I also landed in Mar 2006 and only left the country for 48 days in all; took the test in Dec 2010 and my file has been completed waiting to processed for oath since Mar 2011 at the Vancouver Office. No RQ as I have been working and living here but the processing period is varying even with people who have been living in Canada for 6 years and are still waiting. So stay in touch with CIC Call center reps to get all updates on time before its too late

HI,

I came in april 2006 also went back home for 2 months in 2006, when my 3 years complete I exceed 2 more months and I applied 2009 they received my file on Oct 2009 then after 8 months they asked for some missing documents after that another letter for finger prints and 3 months later in 2012 April I got my Oath, Its all about wait wait and wait just because of my silly mistakes, but in ur case if u r 100% ur documents r clear then just wait hopeful you will get response. Hi,
I am new to this forum. I had my test on Oct 16 at Glen Erin Mississauga. The interviewer told me don`t surprise if you get RQ in mail after test. I asked her the reason but she didn`t have any strong reason. I came here in 2008 and since I am here doing work without any gap.
Did anyone see this kind of situation and received RQ after test? Pls share

I applied in sep 2011 and got test date exactly after one year. my file was going smooth through out but don`t know what happened at the time of interview.

actually i applied since November 2009 , in August 2011 i received a RQ and they requested for all documents such as , taxes, school, bail, hydro, telephone, bank account statements, credit cards statements, everything that can be proof , i sent to them and i did interview in January 2012 with the agent in Montreal and she was convinced 100% that i lived in Canada 1095 days, yeah one more think she asked for the entries and exit from my country, and finally she said we don't trust your country and all papers are coming from there fake,

Do you mind sharing what your country is..it may help other applicants in your position. Did you work in the 1095 day period and did you have T4s for the 3/4 tax years?

I do not want to doubt what you are saying but i am really not convinced that any government of Canada employee would say something like that about any country even if they think it, you could actually sue them for discrimination for that.

I am a bit confused also as in another post you said the following:

Your file was transferred to the Montréal office on December 14, 2010.

We sent you a letter on August 4

also i sent a letter to the Ministry of Citizenship and they answer me (august 27,2012)
( Our records indicate that your criminal and security background checks were successfully completed;however due to ongoing immigration issues,your immigration clearance was still outstanding;thereby delaying the process of your application as a result citizenship officers in Montreal were not to asses your case as quickly originally intended.
The outstanding immigration issues has been resolved and your file was returned to the processing queue on April 27,2012. you will be notified when to appear for the Citizenship test or Hearing, or if additional information and/or documents are required.


That meeting you had in January 2012 was it related to the immigration issue??? as from what I understand you have not had your test yet, and from the above quote it says your file was returned to the regular queue in April 2012 so the agent you met with was satisfied with your answers to whatever questions she had.

also can i just ask what kind of immigration issues you had which caused the delay in your application?

unfortunately i called a lawyer and i asked them about what she said , he said to me she can say whatever she wants, also i am confusing that every time i call CIC and ask about my file, they said in process and call us after 3 month , do you think is that fair? they don't want to give any answer, and also when i arrived to the airport , the employee asked me why i visited my family? do u think its a right question?, have you been in this situation before? after one year i got this letter from ministerial inquiries division, me i am confusing completely because until now i don't know what's happening in my file and you want to know more think, before the last visit to my family they took me to immigration office and they asked me many many questions and they checked all my documents and my laptop and my wallet and everything i have and finally they said you can go,
do u think this is not discrimination and harassment?

I am not sure what to think as i do not know all the details of your case, they seem to be giving you a hard time but you did not mention why you got that letter from the inquiries division, nor if you got that before you applied for the citizenship.

From the sound of what you are saying there seems to have been an immigration issue for you even before you applied for your citizenship so the delay does not seem to be directly related to your citizenship application.

what is the immigration issue that you were having?
