A writ of mandamus is a legal remedy but how long does it takes AFTER that writ is submitted....You cant file a writ unless its passed their quoted time,,,,which is what 36 MONTHS so what does that lead a applicant to???? i would say 36-48 months....now there is NO EVIDENCE to back up 36-48 months but based on what MOST of the applicants are being quoted by CIC call center is up to 48 months.
But like i said things can happen tomorrow for anyone
People can yap off and act that they know it all but truly no one really knows the time line on RQ. To me it solely depends how the CIC official is felling on the day he/she deals with a applicant....I seen people who had everything perfect getting RQ....and over all the few people i know with this dreaded RQ I ONLY KNOW ONE PERSON WHO MADE IT AND IT TOOK HIM 4 YEARS.
Everyone on this forum just talks solely based on their own experiences no one here knows what exactly goes on....its purely purely based on experiences and speculation
Now based on holySinner experience: We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on December 14, 2009.
The clock starts the time application is received, so according to my mathematics tell me if i cant count its already been 43 months.
