After reading your update I checked my application status updated on the 31 of may , it says they sent me invitation for the citizenship test on June 14! Finally some positive news.

Congrats @cherif2100. So, please tell me, you received the test date around 4 months after submitting your QA/supporting papers, right? I submitted my QA documents to the Montreal office 11 weeks ago and still waiting.

I sent my QAE on the first week of February and I sent additional documents 1 week later, this update was the first since then, I haven’t received the mail yet not an email , it is the online status changed, it took around 4 months

Please clarify which form you received. There have been very few reports of "RQ" (CIT 0171) issued from Sydney for a long while now, and NONE recently that I recall.

This particular topic was triggered by the more recent reports of applicants being sent CIT 0205 titled "Physical Presence Questionnaire - Quality Assurance Exercise" and this is typically sent at or around the same time as IP.

There are big differences depending on which type of request or questionnaire the applicant is given. The most common are:
-- CIT 0205 the Physical Presence Questionnaire - Quality Assurance Exercise (with additional requests)
-- CIT 0520 which is called RQ-lite
-- CIT 0171 which is the full blown RQ

In the meantime, please do keep this topic updated as to your progress.





Since this request came during the interview, I am guessing that it is CIT 0520 rather than CIT 0502 . . . if it is indeed the latter (CIT 0502), that is a different form than we have seen reported. If it is CIT 0205, that is the quality control exercise form which we have not previously seen given to applicants at or after the test or interview.

As noted above, precisely which form it is makes a difference.

Note, for example, that CIT 0520 is NOT full blown RQ. Makes a big difference. If it is the RQ-lite form, CIT 0520, that means you have much better odds of progressing to the oath (assuming all is in order) in a fairly routine timeline. Full blown RQ (CIT 0171) can mean some very long delays and even the outcome could be in doubt.

I am not a very active member in this forum but wanted to share my timelines. Interestingly I also got Quality Assurance documents and everything went smoothly for me.
I became Canadian citizen on Saturday June/02/2018 and the Oath was at Scarborough office.
Here are my timelines @ Scarborough office.
1. Application received = Oct/20/2017
2. Application In process = Dec/04/2017
3. Quality Assurance request received = Around mid of January 2018.
4. QA docs submitted around Feb/05/2018 (approx)
5. Test Invitation notice sent on Feb/26 /2018
6. Test date = March/21/2018
7. Decision made = April/28/2018
8. Oath invitation received = May/09/2018
9. Oath done @ Scarborough office = June/02/2018.

Everything went smooth and I think Scarborough office is processing things at a very good pace. Have patience and you all are very close to becoming Canadian citizen.
Citizen ceremony almost lasted for 2 hours including the time everyone took picture with the citizenship judge.

Hi, i received letter from IRCC that i am randomly selected for quality assurance review, i submitted all the documents and i was called for test and interview. Interview was long however at the end i was asked for police clearance certificate from US and notice of assessment. Any idea why they asked for notice of assessment? I was unemployed and won't have income to show. Will this delay citizenship application. Thanks

I received yesterday the email regarding my citizenship test, the PDF attached to the email is blank does not show any name , no uci, no date no time for the test..! I made sure the adobe reader is updated and I tried via different devices, I tried to contact them by the provided number but it always disconnect sayin too high volume of calls!! I will try to send them a mail, do you think I have another choice ? Should I go to the adress they provided for my citizenship test to show them the blank form that I received ? My test is on 14 of June as my online status I don’t have much time to waste in the mail...

When i received the letter with test date, IRCC called me next day to confirm that i received it. They may call you to confirm. In parallel there is no harm in stopping by their location.

Finally they answered my call after a 43 min wait, they said it’s ok to go without the invitation letter my name will be registered on their system I should bring all the other documents though, and they gave me the time and date and adress by phone.

I got a call today from Montreal office confirming my test and interview date and time, they asked me to bring all my original leases with me in addition to 2 IDs, all original passports, PR and COPR. They asked me not to bring anything else.

Another forum participant apparently subject to the PPQ - QAE has recently reported their reference was contacted after the test and interview by the IRCC person who conducted the interview. Unfortunately the reference apparently confused the applicant with someone else and that contact did not go well. Nonetheless, however, it appears ALL is WELL for this applicant and the application has Decision Made status, suggesting that this applicant will soon (or at least relatively soon) be scheduled for the oath.

In any event, this report suggests that it would be a good idea for those who have provided a reference as part of the PPQ-QAE to occasionally remind the reference that they have AGREED to be a reference for the citizenship application and that IRCC may indeed contact them.

Reminder: one of the requirements for the reference given is that the reference AGREE to having contact information provided for a reference.

Since the report also includes news that there is a DM, that too should be good news for others who have received the PPQ - QAE, as it indicates another applicant proceeding to a positive conclusion despite being subject to this "exercise," noting that there are scores of ROUTINE applications from the same period of time still waiting.

For reference, the original post from the thread in which this was reported (with thanks again to the OP for the report):

Citizenship office (Mississauga, ON) called my friend whose reference i gave but he got confused as he has two friends with same name. He told the officer about the other person and the office got confused. The citizenship officer called me and I explained that there might have been some confusion and you can call him again but she said it's okay and they will make a decision. This all happened today.

Is that a deal breaker? Can they refuse just bcoz of this reason?

The current status is "decision made"
