LOL. Bullsh*t. Your income levels, home ownership, etc. play no factor in whether you get RQ or not. You have no clue what's going on these days. It's all about whether you met your residency requirement. I know a number of people (South Asian/Indian) with minimum wage jobs and no house who got their citizenship in about a yr. If you pass the initial screening in Sydney and get transferred to your local CIC without getting RQ, these days you'll most likely get invited to the test and the oath soon after. Things have changed.

I LIKED IT!

I never claimed I had a clue, my musings on this subject is just a conjecture, based on several examples of individuals I personally know. There is no point in getting personal and excited in your responses Corazon3. By your emotional outburst I may suggest that you fall under the description of those with no good income and personal aboard. Take it easy man – to each their own.

hey...you are getting sentimental....

I though this forum is for people to opine and share their thoughts and ideas, often those are non-factual but assumptive and hypothetical, which is perfectly acceptable as none of us, presumably, works at the CIC, and cannot know for sure. However, to me getting sentimental is calling somebody’s opinion a “bullshit” or liking such a statement.

Understand. Forget and forgive.....

Now a days,,,,they are increasing,,fingre prints requests,,,,,aswell....
,,,,getting hard day by day, ,,,the people who jave to apply in feuture,,,shuld prepare themselfs.

One thing to remember about the RQ is that it's annoying, and it's time consuming, but in the end if you're committed to living in Canada, it has only one serious consequence: it prevents you from participating in society by voting or running from office. (By delaying citizenship it also means that you can be deported if you commit a serious crime, but hopefully that is rare.) For my wife and myself, getting an RQ would be aggravating because she wants to travel on a Canadian passport instead of a Thai one, but that's about it. Fingerprints, documentation, not a big deal. As long as you have the residency, RQ is just a delay that doesn't actually affect one's life. It's only if you're waiting for the passport to parachute into San Francisco and work for Google that RQ is a disaster . . .

Except for Pay stub through a constant Payroll (from a registered/ recognised company) nothing prove that one lived in Canada, Bank statement, Mortgage/rent payment, filing Tax- all that anyone can on someone else behalf.

Doctor visit, visit to service Canada, Airline travel within Canada, Licence test, education attendence, exam apperance, registered sports activity, passport stamps, traffic tickets given by officer etc are the proof of residency. Childeren can go to school even if one is not in Canada, grocery can be purchased without the actual person on his credit card.

All,

Do you guys know what exactly or who exactly is considered a "consultant".

if you are working in a software as an employee and your title is principal consultant, is that a consultant?

will that trigger you an RQ if you have traveled overseas on a business trip through the company?

How does CIC make this distinction?
