Dear all,

We thought the best way for us to move forward is to create a data bank of all those effected by the RQ. To insure privacy, We thought it is best that recipients forward their info to an email address. The email address is as follow:

rqrecipients@yahoo.ca

Who should participate?

It is best to create a data bank of people who have been waiting for more than one year after submitting the RQ to CIC.

The reason behind this project is to gather as many names as possible just in case we need to take legal action.

interested parties need to only forward their first name and a brief chronology of their case since they applied for citizenship and if they are able to donate 200.00 dollars should the need arise for a legal action.

Please keep in mind that you might be required to give full information at a later stage to any legal representative that we ALL decide on.

Mary was telling me about a lady who received her RQ in 2009....Four years ago people.

Unless we are willing to stand up for what is just, all of us might face the potential of us becoming that lady.

p.s. I am not aware of anyone who met with a judge or had his citizenship since receiving an RQ.

Below is the needed info:

Name:

Applied On:
Office:
In processing:
Transferred:
Test:
RQed:
RQ Response:
Origin/Home County:
Physical Presence:
Willing to Pay $200 in case of class: Y/N

I enquired with the owner of this forum who is a renowned immigration lawyer (and has a class action on FSW) and also with a poster with expertise in the Canadian immigration field as to why no lawyer had looked into a class action for Citizenship - they never answered which may be understandable on a forum due to the risk of this being the set up of a lawyer/client relationship or/and for business confidenitality. That no lawyer has ever followed this up means they likely think its a No Win.

Hi Mary chad,

We have been tweeting kenny jason in twitter . I think the message has been passed to kenny. I do not think taking aclass action law suit is the correct way to approach.

It has to be dealt diplomatically . We should meet him or tlak to kenny on this softly.

Also kenny alone can not take decision. There has to be budget available for the change and also we have processed increase in fees for faster processing.

So we have to give them some time and the same time put pressure on the government.

Thanks,
pradeep.

The following is my suggestion/advice:

1- I suggest all those have been RQed and feel its unjust/discriminated upon (e.g. where they come from…etc) and have met all requirements for citizenship with evidence can join our group and register as indicated in earlier posts in this forum/
2- Registration to VRQ group shall end on March 1 of 2013 where we elect two senior representatives to meet with the finest citizenship law firm for an initial consultation (hopefully free of charge) to decide upon the type of lawsuit…etc

The intention of our group is to have fair process in handling our citizenship applications like everyone else as long as we obey the law and abide by it. We love Canada and we appreciate the efforts CIC officers are doing but we strongly believe that we have endured suffrage/pain/financial losses such as jobs…etc due to this unmonitored/ambiguous/ no reasonable timeframe limit for the RQ applications. In fact, every application to citizenship should be accompanied by a completed RQ form with supporting documentation for a fair and adequate process. This is Canada, the best country in the world in all aspects, where freedom of speech and rights for living souls are embraced, this is the country that we have chosen to spend our lives in and integrate in its communities to become active members, we have chosen it were we believed in it, we didn’t just happened to be here…

We want our right to vote and choose how our tax money is spent, we want to enjoy the mobility rights mentioned in our constitution, we want to have the right to work in police force, army, government sectors…etc

Yours Sincerely,

HuronBird
