I sent CIC most of the documents that they ask when they send the RQ. I sent them with my application, so I hope that would help and avoid RQ ...

RQ has been discussed many times on this forum, anyways this is the list of reasons I compiled that could possibly trigger RQ in ones case.

If you fall in any of the following categories or combinations of categories listed below then it may trigger RQ in your case...

1) Self-Employed, Own a business
2) Work on contracts basis, freelancing
3) Unemployed for some period during the 4 years of residence history
4) Too many travels out of Canada to other countries, say USA
5) Too many travels out of Canada to your native place
6) Extended stays out of Canada (say long vacations like 2-3 months at a stretch)
7) Family Application without child(ren's) school records (for children of school age)
Mismatches/missing stamps on passport with respect to the corresponding visits you made
9) Travel out of Canada during unemployment time
10) Missed to report any absence in Residence Calculator

Hi,

Re: Mismatches/missing stamps on passport with respect to the corresponding visits you made

Guideline only asks to submit biopage of the passport. I'm wondering how would CIC know that there are mismatches/missing stamps on your passport of the countries you had visited? Is there a stage or part of the process wherein you will be asked to submit exit/entry stamps of your passport?

They check for the stamps at the interview. Apparently, even "too many" stamps seems to be a trigger at the interview.

Sounds good to me then. I thought these are required during the submission of the applications and I have missed it. No worries for me though because I never traveled outside of Canada in the last 3 years.

Honestly, as noted from responses above, my observations, knowledge from people I know who got citizenship, there's absolutely no concrete rule that establishes a firm rule for issuing RQ.

I have known many people who have travelled so many times and specially to red flag countries, USA, Middle East etc with passport full of stamps and were through without proplems.

In my opinion they issue this to quite a few people, so that others know that there is a check in place, so that you try to avoid submitting false information.

All I would say is, if at all you get issued with RQ being the unlucky one, it's not a death sentence, face it and one shouldn't have problems facing it, if your residency is clean and justified.

In other words it's like applying for visitor visa for Canada, USA from other countries or while at border on USA to enter USA / Canada, you may be allowed or denied entry, that's it, no questions asked.

Good Luck to all.

Does being a homemaker for over two years trigger RQ?

IMO, being a homemaker has no problem. What will start problem is if you got your PR under skilled worker who had experience as manager, technician, etc, but then when you moved to Canada, you were being a homemaker. Just my opinion though.
