Hi all,

Finally became Canadian on 2nd of April. It took 1 and half hour to complete from checking ID to singing O Canada. For people having infants you can take them with you in Mississauga office. The clerk told me even in case you need to go out of the ceremony room, you are allowed as there are speakers in the hallway so you are still participating in oath ceremony. we had to leave our 9 month son in our neighbors house, as some people have suggested it on some other threads.

Good luck to you all.

Congrats. can you please share your timelines? Which CIC office did your RQ get Processed?

Thanks Janoo. @datascientist, my timeline is received oct 11 2012, started processing feb 07 2013. rq may 2013 by sydney NS cic office. RQ sent back june 2013. Req to prepare for test dec 2013. but no test was scheduled till 2015. test feb 06 2015, at mississauga office. then only I know my file was transferred from st.claire office. oath april 2nd 2015. But do not worry I think most files will be processed after july 2015, as there would not be many new files coming to them due to increase in residency requirement.

All the best.

2 RQs and 2 times finger prints. Something is extremely wrong with your case. You should better hire a lawyer before they screw your case completely.

Why do you think all this is happening? Do you have bad police or immigration records? Have you been deported before? Did you not have sufficient proof of your residence in Canada?

it is getting better and better every day, isn't it? :)

meanwhile, the official website doesn't say a word about 44 months yet, still 36 months for RQ/non-routing appls processing.

If they send me 2nd RQ, i will be writing to withdraw my application. :'(
