Thanks all for your replies.
The test was fairly easy and I got 19/20.

However during the interview, the officer did not verify or even check any documents. She only checked the original passport, PR card, etc just to verify against the photocopies she had on file. She had my entire file that I had provided with the RQ response and all the supporting documents. She said that no one had reviewed my file yet. So someone needs to review and once they have reviewed they will get back..
No indication on timeline, or why she could not review while I was with her.
Anyone else have this occur?
this is strange, she didn't ask you any questions? work, school, etc? What did she say at the end? that your file be forwarded to the judge for approval? i took the test last week and officer almost did the same thing and told me my file is good and will be forwarded to the judge for approval.

The only question she asked me was tell me what I do.. I spoke for 1 min about my work. Then she said, "your file has not been reviewed yet, and someone needs to review it". No idea what that means. Nothing about a judge, or oath or next steps.
Even before she asked me the question, she did not look at any stamps in passport or anything. It was as if she had made her mind even before she saw me that she could not review.

I asked how long it will take, and she was like - no idea, maybe couple of months, very vague. Once "someone" has reviewed, they will update the file.

They have had my RQ responses for 1.5 years now, and noone has reviewed thus far. Thought they would have looked at it prior to inviting for the test.
So guess the real processing happens after this...?

Did you give them all the documents when you submitted your RQ? passport copies, translation (if any), CBSA report, etc. Based on many other reports and also my own experience, we know certainly that for pre-test RQs, they already reviewed your RQ when they invite you for the test, however this review is not the full/in depth review per older policy, it could be even 1 hour before your interview, during the interview and initial review if they are not satisfied with your RQ response they will forward your file for more in depth review. I guess there were some concerns unresolved, maybe extensive travelling, etc.

Hi,
Yes, I did provide all of the documents including the passport copies, translations, CBSA report, phone bills, bank statements, etc. However the CBSA report was only till November of 2011 while my application was made on January 20,2012.. So I did have a small period that was not in the report.
I am actually thinking of requesting for a new report and sending it to the St Clair office. Would this be ok?

However, I dont know if she noticed this, cause she did not ask about it.

However, yes I did have significant travel, but I ensured that my travel matched what was in the CBSA report and I did show about 4 trips which did not even show on the report. So I am assuming I should get extra fast processing for being truthful :)

Anyhow, do you suggest I request an ATIP report now, or 2 months later to find out the latest on the file? Also I have moved now to Mississauga, so would it make a huge mess if I were to change my home address at this stage? My mailing address still remains the same.

Thanks!

Called cic last week, and I have received the same scripted answer from the representative, your filed is non routine and you have to wait because your file haven't reviewed. My time line application received September 10 2012.. in process February 1 2013.... Pre test RQ April 2013 sent the documents May 2013 early January received a notice to prepare for the test.....

Had my test today at St. Clair, passed (20/20). During the interview a CIC employee told me everything looked good on their end and I should hear from them within 3 months with an oath letter once the CJ signs off. Certainly, I realize it may easily take longer.

Overall, the experience was good, the staff was helpful. From other posts it's apparent that different applicants received test notices of different colours (maybe somebody can remind me what's the current interpretation of the colours is), however today all of the notices I saw were yellow, including myself.

I have received a RQ today dated July 17th, so it took 11 days for this envelope to arrive from Sydney to Thornhill. They gave me only 45 calendar days to complete RQ / get docs ready, which is not really realistic, but I will try my best.
We suspect that we have received RQ because of 5 vacations trips we took in past 4 years but all of us got more than 1095 days of residency. Also no ECAS update for getting RQ, just received line disappeared a week ago.

I have a couple of questions about that RQ doc:

1. It costs a lot of money to get bank/credit card statements from my bank and as they wrote in RQ that I need to provide "Bank/Credit card statements" symbol "/" means "OR" at least to me, so can I get just credit card statements which are easier and cheaper to get in my case and just send those to them?
2. Should I really notarize copies of , let's say, kids birth certificates - those are in English from Toronto, or sending them just a photocopy should be enough?

Kindly advise.

1. I would go with the statements that show more consistent activity throughout the period of interest. If you had that credit card all along and used it regularly then it should suffice, but frankly this is not something you should save money on.
2. Just a photocopy is fine.

Lorris, thanks for your reply. I am not thinking about saving money here, all I am thinking about now is to get all done on time.
They are also requesting a "travel record or records of movements from all countries for which you have a passport or travel document"? I called my embassy today and they said they have no clue about that document... Will CBSA work in that case? I gave them already authorization in my initial application to get CBSA report.
