Hello all,

After months of waiting I finally got an email requesting that I pay the Right to Permanent Residence Fee. At the moment we are tight financially and have to make a hard choice regarding this. Is there anything else that will happen after this like interviews or am I approved and if that is the case how long after the fee is paid do I have to wait? My wife is sponsoring me from outside of Canada and I am a natural born US Citizen.

No one can say for sure, but you're probably near the end of the process. I'd venture that if they're asking for the RPRF that they're not going to ask for an interview.

Regardless, if you don't pay the fee, you're not going to get your COPR.

Thanks, just don't want to spend the money right now and have to wait another 3-4 months and not be able to complete a certification test that once I pass will make it that much easier for me to find work.

I don't think you understand.
If they ask for the money, you pay the money.

Any non-conformity on your behalf is going to work against you.

You're about done. The more you delay your payment the more time you'll get delayed. Be sure all your documents are not expired, like your passport have more than 6 months validity.
