Hi guys.

I recently received a "Remainder" email to pay RPRF although I never received a request before. The email also said:

"Please note that if you delay the payment of the RPRF, your security or medical results may expire, which would delay the issuance of your visas. We therefore encourage you to pay the RPRF as soon as possible, by following these steps..."

I wasn't asked for another medical yet, but our medicals expire August 4 and I'm pretty sure they will go ahead and ask for one. I feel it's very unfair for me to pay another $900 for me and my wife to get a second medical because they're slow, on strike or whatever.

Have you heard any cases where they don't ask you for another medical/security clearance?

Also, if they somehow do issue my visa before August 4, which is unlikely, but I cannot enter Canada from the US before that date, do the medicals automatically expire or what?

Thank u all!

Hi! I feel for you too, i once felt that way when we were asked to redo our medicals.. Fault was not ours right, all we did was just to comply as quickly as we can. May I ask when did you settle your RPRF? Thanks.

Hi. Was your husband the principal applicant of your application? Where is he currently working? Does his contract indicate that those were part of his duties/responsibilities? If so, he has to comply with it even if he's not comfortable with it. Google labor laws then put the province where your husband is currently in. Hope this helped. God bless you. :)

I received an email from the CIC saying that they haven't received my daughter's medical results. They want me follow up this matter with the clinic.

Hi,

I called the clinic and they said they indeed submitted the medical results on June 19, 2013. They even sent a print screen shot to the CIC. They also send a hard copy of my spouse medical results on July 16, 2013 and now they are saying that they waiting for my daughter's so I asked the clinic if they can send a hard copy of my daughter's. The Dr was very accommodating and yes she will do it.

What I think the problem is with the CIC. It might be their system.

Actually it was not coming from the mail. The e-medical results was uploaded on to their website and the clinic can see the result but how come the CIC couldn't see the uploaded results. They are uploading the results on the website for faster processing but what is happening to us was just delaying the process.

Just for the update:

The clinic where my spouse and daughter had their second medicals was so accommodating. They sent right away the hard copy of the medical results of my daughter.

If there are applicants here that has been through second medical you have to email the CIC if they already received the medical results just to be so sure.

Hi chie,

I have exactly done the same thing and cic replied that they have received my medical and all other documents sent by my husband..my husband yesterday received the confirmation e-mail from cic..in the mail they have written that after review they have attached all the documents in our file and if they need any other doc they will send us e-mail.
