Hi

I have been asked for request for medical and additional updated forms. I have done medical but i am bit confused about how much fee i have to pay. My visa office is london

In the letter they asked for RPRF FEE. I seen on the website it says $ 550 for processing fee + $490. total for an applicant is $ 1040. :-[

1) How much fee i need to pay only $ 490 ? or i need to pay processing fee as well ?

2) I live in uk. can i pay this fee in Bank draft in canadian dollar payable to Receiver General for Canada.

3) do i need to fill fee payment form IMM 5620 along with bank draft ?

Please advise as i am not sure and want to submite file by next week.

thank you

The beneficiary should be “Receiver General for Canada” if it is in CAD

1) Just $490
2) RPRF at this time is CAD $490 for the principal applicant and also for accompanying spouse. So PA + spouse in total is CAD $980.
Exceptions: Dependent children of a principal applicant , a child to be adopted.
3) Payment Instructions for RPRF:
•Fees must be paid by bank draft, certified cheque, postal money order (PMO) or manager's cheque. Cash payment is not accepted.
•Print your name and file number on the back of the bank draft or certified cheque.

Thanks Jaggi for your help. I dont need to pay processing fee ? I just read on cic website and it says following.

Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) Applicants for permanent residence can pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee ($490) at the time they submit their application or at a later date when requested.

The processing fee is still required when submitting an application.

The following applicants are not required to pay the RPRF:

dependent children of a principal applicant or sponsor, a child to be adopted, or an orphaned brother, sister, niece, nephew or grandchild;
protected persons, including Convention refugees.
Do not send cash by mail. We are not responsible for cash sent by mail.

IT SAYS YOU STILL NEED TO PAY PROCESSING FEE. Please let me know.

many thanks

You should have paid the processing fee at the time of the application filling. Now you should pay the RPRF only.

Yes, you only have to pay the RPRF as they requested.(+the bank transfer fees). 8) 8)

The application fee needs to be paid one time only for each application.

Thanks alex and other friends for your prompt reply.

Just to clearify as i think i might not explain to you properly. In 2009 i paid $ 1100( $550 for main applicant + $ 550 for spouse). This fee i paid to Nova scotia , canada.

Then My file moved to UK(london visa office) and i sent IELTS,PCC,AND ALL FORMS to them. I never paid any fee at that time. Now in 2012 they ask for medical and Right of Permenant residency fee. on the website it says all applicant needs to pay processing fee and $ 490 for landing fee.

I am sorry i am asking again but it says if you dont pay right fee your application will be withdrawn and sent back to you. so please let me that $ 550 i paid earlier so i dont need to pay ?

I am going to pay $ 490 for main applicant + $ 490 for spouce and plus bank charges.

i appriciate you help.
