I got a request for RPRF (I hadn't paid for RPRF before AoR). I paid and submitted it within the given timeline. I read on the forums that RPRF could be an indication of quick PPR. Here are some links where ppl. discuss the same.

My question is, does the above hold true for 2019 too? My BG check hasn't even started. When can I expect PPR?

Below is my timeline
AoR .................... 2019-05-29
Medicals passed ........ 2019-07-09
IM5669 request ......... 2019-07-10
Biometrics completed ... 2019-07-13
RPRF submitted ......... 2019-07-18

IRCC status
Review of eligibility - We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results - July 9, 2019 You passed the medical exam.
Review of additional documents - We need additional documents to continue processing your application. We will send you a message with more details.
Interview - You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics - Completed.
Background check - Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.
Final decision - Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Not necessary. Getting an RPRF email is no indication of whether your application will be processed faster or not. If RPRF had been indication of something, people who paid RPRF upfront would had been processed faster.

Hey I’m on the same boat as you. I’m even got the RPRF request and additional documents statement as above. But yeah in the request letter they had just the RPRF request and nothing else.

Did you hear back from CIC

Rprf requested on 19 july 2019
Paid on 22 july 2019
Still no update from NDVO
RPRF LETTER content
This refers to your application for admission to Canada.
In order for us to continue the processing of your application , we require the following rprf fee.
This was in my letter . Anybody knows what this means.
Am i near to get the ppr .

Apparently it's not indication of early PPR, not anymore at least. My guess is it's requested when your eligibility is MET. I got my RPRF letter almost a month ago (no updates since then). When I called CIC (for something else) I asked about eligibility and the agent said it was MET. I called a week after getting the letter, so I'm pretty confident that the eligibility update triggered the request letter.
