Victoria is worse . You may get part time but only through references. Victoria is a small town ,

you cannot expect more jobs.

Research well . You have lot of you tube videos regarding the student problems in Canada.

One of the easiest places to find jobs in canada.

most of the crowd here is retired crowd so all the jobs are open to young students.

these guys who dont find jobs are the ones with poor communication skills.

the current mgm batch has people working in top canadian companies in victoria, all major banks, accounting first, engineering positions etc.

lot of menial jobs available too.

all gas stations, mcdonalds, subway , burger king & tim hortons is hiring in victoria.

lot of big companies such as cibc, td, h&r block, tommy hilfiger, home depot, staples, canadian tire has mgm students working part time or full time.

this data is sufficient I hope.

Dear Propain,

Kindly don't mislead the aspiring students, let them face the reality.

International students are coming with high expectations about "Skilled managerial" jobs through MGM.

Kindly check the "international student" alumni placement of MGM, most of them are still working in Mediocre jobs for survival (Like sales

supervisor in Retail Companies and Tim Hortons ).

Forget about the language skills, even the top 3 Ranks of the previous cohorts don't have decent managerial jobs (Couple of them are working

for peanuts).

Only engineers (IT) end up with decent jobs not because of MGM but of previous experience.I cannot blame the university for this, the job

market is at its worst phase because of oil market meltdown and Vancouver is on the verge of a real estate bubble burst.

That may be the last nail in the coffin for an international student.

Dear hoaloaken114 ,

You have the truth in front of you.

If you want to see reviews like

1) "This course can get you a decent managerial job"

2) "The internship option means a guaranteed permanent job after you are an intern "

3) "It is easy to get an internship or a job after this course"

and believe it, it is your call. It is your hard earned money and you have the exclusive right to spend.

But my humble request is to talk to any alumni in person.No Alumni will ever speak against their course on a public forum.
