So today hubby got his PR card in the mail. I was gone for a few days so I'm not sure exactly when it came. But around 6 weeks. Pretty cool! FYI it expires 5 years and 1 month from the day he landed.

Congrats to all with good news. For others, be patient, it's worth the wait!

Isabelle

I have followed some of your posts since May cause I our file was initially sent to Rome, but then they moved it to Ottawa and I'm very glad for you and your husband that it didn't take that long (around 6 month) to be together. I'm an April applicant and we hope that the next 2-3 months this will end for us too. Best of luck to you guys.

Today i received the pass and COPR. So happy! Looking forward to land on October 22 :)

HAHAHA CLS. It's the part they glue into the passport. You didn't get one. The COPR paper is quite ugly and I was told to keep it in a safe place, even after you get your PR card, for citizenship, etc they will request to see the original COPR.

Congrats, when are you landing?

I'm heading back at the end of this week and my partner will follow at the end of November. We booked our flights awhile ago, and I wanted to head back earlier in case there was any doubt of my intent to return. Plus he has to finish up work before coming.

:o Is actually quite strange ...Maybe you can re-order GMCS notes to see if there are other red flags in your app... You need to be strong and wait patiently... You will hear from Rome soon ;) Keep the faith!

Congrats Orchidea! You will get both the COPR and the Visa in your passport. It's pretty. That part. And then you just need to show them to the airline, to Passport control and to the border agent in Canada.

That's all!

Please canadian belle i need to ask you something about COPR...So what happens when you arrive in airport in Canada? What should i do with COPR? Where do i need to apply for PR Card?

When you come to Canada you have to go in the Visitor's side of Passport Control. When you tell the officer you are "landing" they will send you to another office right behind the Passport Control counters and then another officer will have you sign the COPR paper and ask you some questions (how you met your sponsor, if you understand condition 51, etc) and then if the Service Canada office is open you can go straight there to get your SIN number. If not, you take those papers and walk out. You need that COPR document FOREVER so don't get rid of it. You need for your SIN for your passport, for your free ESL classes, etc.

It's really painless! Don't worry!
