so you sent docs in March and got approved for sponsorship when.. ? in april? in may? depending on that, after you got approval they sent the files to Bucharest ( i guess it takes around 1-2 weeks for the transfer) so from then you can start counting. another thing you can do is checking eCas or ordering GCMS notes and see when they received your medical results - that usually counts as the date when they also received your file in Bucharest i assume.

i would count from late April ... you shouldn't expect any news soon, you still have to wait a lot. keep in mind that some apps are processed under 9-10 months , it depends on the case - if it has "complications" it will take more (up to 14 months).

you can order GCMS notes.. they give you very detailed info about your application. it contains all the notes every officer has ever made regarding your application. request the files for the principal applicant. i think your sponsor orders them but he needs your signed approval. it costs you 5$ and takes around 30 days until you receive them. order them here: https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en

but as i said, you still have to wait a lot.

seems like you've waited a lot already, 14 months are almost up .. do you have any red flags? (short courtship, big age difference, etc.)

I think 14 months have passed
no news application, I'm not in the process yet. this is the next step?

yeah you're right. i'm so sorry again for misreading what you said! i thought you applied in 2014.

i wonder what's holding them up .. as i previously asked, do you have any difficulties regarding your application? they should've requested an interview if they really doubted the relationship or so..
