Romanian Timeline - In Process

HEy everyone! I have fantastic news ;D we got A phone call from the embassy!!! 8) the lady on the phone said we're approved!! However since my medical is expiring on 12 May, she said I have 2 options: I either enter Canada by 12 may or I do a remedical! In any case, she sent me the official PP email and asked me via phone to reply to the email, i either send the passport or i do remedical and leave later on. Now, i have a question though, will they request me to do the medical AFTER 12 may(current med expiration date) or they'll let me to it asap? Does anyone have an idea?

Thanks everyone ;D we decided to email them back saying that we'd like to leave at the beginning of July. Emailed them Monday, they just responded , inviting me to redo the medical asap! Yay ^^ i was afraid they'll wait to reply only after the expiration of the medical. Thank God they didn't. I'll call to get an appointment first thing tomorrow.

Seems that they move pretty fast, our app stayed at VO Bucharest for 9 months I expected many more months of silence!

But I don't get how you count the months.. seems only 8 months at Bucharest VO, you mentioned 9. Hmm.

thanks deedee ;D well i didn't expect them to say anything for the whole summer but i was in for a surprise 8)

i counted from august (when my app arrived to VO Bucharest) .. so from august to april it's 9 months. they still moves very fast considering the posted timeline (16 months), so i'm very grateful!

1. how do you know that your app arrived to VO Bucharest on August 7th? I'm trying to figure out when my app arrived to VO Bucharest
2. you did your medicals on April 30, 2014 and VO announced you that will expire on May 12, 2015, but they shouldn't expire after one year after they're done, on April 30, 2015?

teodorix, you're right, the medical should expire on April 30 this year.. but according to our first set of GCMS notes, the medical was set to expire on May 12 - this was given from the CIC London department that handles medicals. no idea why.

well actually, as soon as you get Sponsor's approval from Mississauga, you can *approximately* count for.. 1-2 weeks, until the app gets to Bucharest. i counted from then 'cause VO Bucharest e-mailed me on 7 August for the CSQ document that i had to send them. they said something along these lines in the e-mail: "we are hereby confirming that we received your app from Mississauga..blabla

Hi guys!
I have an exciting news!!! I applied for a Visitor Visa and I was approved to visit my husband in Canada for 2 months. I got a 4 years multiple entry visa
What I did was to be truthful and to put together my documents just as are mentioned on this thread: (search on Google) Visitor visa GRANTED!(Wife of PR) (I couldn't post here the link of this thread )
It took a few days to put together all the documents but it was worth it!

maybe you should make a new thread on the forum about your successful story, this rarely happens! can you tell us more about what docs you submitted and such? you surely had a strong case

when are you planning on going to canada?

Congrats Teodorix! Yeah, we all knew that is almost impossible to get a visa while waiting for PR, but maybe is not so impossible, better try than sorry. I'm happy for you.

Can you please tell me if you applied online and if you translated all the documents (for ex the tax income ones etc). Also, you had any booked ticket?

Ok, here are all the documents I attached on my file:

My documents:
1. Visitor Visa Forms
2. Banca Transilvania multiple entry visa payment
3. 2 Photos with the indication specified on Immigration Canada website

1. Police certificate - original+translation
2. Bank Statement – original+translation
3. Romanian marriage certificate - notarized copy
4. House ownership papers – translated&notarized copy
5. Car ownership papers – translated&notarized copy
6. From work: Income Certificate regarding Tax calculation & Certificate regarding Salary Entitlements - both for the last 6 months – original+translation
7. Drivers license - copy+translation
8. Romanian ID - copy
9. Passport - original+copy & all old passports – copy
10. National Health Insurance Card – copy+translation
11. My resume
12. Return flight tickets (THIS IS VERY IMP APPARENTLY- NEVER BOOK A ONE WAY TICKET, THEY'LL SURELY REJECT THE VISA)
13. My travel & employment history (same as submitted for the PR visa application)
14. A kick ass cover letter giving reasons why I will not overstay the Visitor Visa and why I have to return to Romania after my trip (Another thing, in my cover letter, I stated UP FRONT that I have a PR application in the system (gave my UCI, etc) and said that I would never do anything to jeopardize my PR application by over staying on a Tourist Visa. I just want to visit my husband since we're newly married and I miss him.)
15. SPONSORSHIP APPROVAL LETTER (Super important!)
16. Our travel together (flight tickets, hotel bookings, etc)
17. Our photos together from the wedding & before & after the wedding & just us & us and family & us and friends - to establish that our marriage is real! (this is very important too, apparently, one girl told me to send that in because they rejected her visa saying there isn't enough proof of her marriage- even though she submitted her marriage certificate copy!!)
18. Our chat messages (same as submitted for the PR application)

Note: Before applying for Canada Tourist Visa, I also applied (and was granted) a 10 year multiple entry visa to the U.S.
I think this carries some amount of weight age so it's probably a good idea to get a US tourist visa before applying for Canada.

I had already a USA Tourist Visa. I attached the copy.

My husband's documents:

1. His employment letter of confirmation from the company where he works
2. Income Tax Returns filed in Canada
3. Passport - copy
4. A notarized invitation letter (addressed to VO) from my husband inviting me to visit him in Canada
5. A hand written personal invitation from him to me asking me to come and visit him (this is a personal letter, with lovey-dovey words about how much he misses me and wants to see me)

I applied on paper at VFS Global on No 17 Thomas Masaryk St, in Bucharest.
Yes, I translated all the documents that were not in English.
Yes, I booked a flight ticket but before that I agreed with the airline company to get a refund (the entire amount I paid for the ticket) in case I will not receive the Visitor Visa
