Hello All,
My current employer in Canada is giving me an employment letter with just the salary details. It is against their policy to give us the employment letter with the roles and responsibilities. Period. I know this has been discussed umpteen times. But here's what i wanted to know.
I have the following
1. Paystubs
2. Offer Letter
3. Company policy that states the refusal to give the roles and responsibilities letter.
4. A simple declaration in plain paper signed by my supervisor that states the roles and responsibilities.
5. My supervisor is not willing to sign on a notarized or a stamp paper.
I went to a lawyer, as advised my many members in this forum to get the simple declaration notarized.
Some lawyers are unwilling to notarize it. But one lawyer agreed to notarize the same.
What the lawyer meant was this
1. He/She will notarize the document that i carry to them saying they have seen the original and hereby he/she is notarizing the copy of the declaration letter.
2. This means she is not notarizing the contents of the letter. Obviously it is not possible to notarize the contents of the letter by a lawyer.
Now the lawyer is asking me when i have the original, why do i need to notarize it?
Seems a valid question. Is this this the type of notarization required from the immigration department ?
Please help with your suggestions. I feel like i have hit a dead end here. Not sure if i will be able to get a PR without the roles letter. !!!
