Roles and responsibilities letter for secondary applicant

Hi everyone,

My spouse who is the secondary applicant has claimed for work experience. However my spouse's employer has refused to provide a roles letter as they don't provide roles letters for anyone. However my spouse has work experience from other companies also and we have the roles letters provided by all the other employers.

Is it mandatory to provide roles letter for that one positiion for which the employer is not providing the roles letter for? How crucial is this?
