Hi guys

I've a question for those who landed already about the RO :
I couldn't understand it clearly ; for example the whole previous years we spent before landing would be ( one year in the country ) so we have 2years left for the citizenship... Ok how they're gonna calculate this RO ?
Appreciate it really if someone clarify it..

Regards

From what I understand is that your time as a refugee claimant is not considered. Time on a temporary residence permit or as a protected person is calculated as half a day for each day spent up to 1 year. So 2 years or more spent in Canada as a protected person would be calculate as 1 year towards your citizenship. So, from the time you get your PR it's exactly 2 years until you can apply for your citizenship.

Thank you

Yea I know that all the time passed calculated as one year..but my question : the RO requires staying in the country for a number of days; right! Does it mean we have to stay the remaining 2 yrs here without travelling to meet the Obligation or what ?!

No - the days do not have to be consecutive.
