Hi. In Oct 2019, my brother applied for a PRTD at a VAC in the Philippines. It was declined due to non-compliance to residency obligation. He made an appeal. Last month, after a hearing, IAD and the Minister's Office allowed his appeal and his PR status remains in effect. The Notice of decision and reasons was emailed to him. What happens next ? Does my brother have to reapply for a PRTD or should he wait for instructions from IRCC ? THANKS SO MUCH.

Thanks bluffmaster88 for the info. I'm kinda at a loss though coz on the IRB website..it states
"
If your appeal is allowed…
You will keep your permanent resident status. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will issue you a permanent resident travel document so you can travel back to Canada if you have not already done so."

Doesn't mention reapplying

Your brother will be able to return to Canada and he can apply for a PR card but will only be granted 1 year PR card until his appeal is allowed.

Thanks canuck78 for the input. I aprreciate it, but my brother's appeal was already allowedin a decision by IAD and the Minister's Office back in Oct.7 2020. Our inquiry is what happens next. Does he have to REapply for a PRTD or wait for further instructions from the IRCC and/or tge Canadian Embassy here in Manila ? Your expert take will be much appreciated.

Do you mean his appeal was approved or his appeal was approved and will be sent back to be reassessed?

His RO appeal was approved/ ALLOWED. His PR status stays in effect. He got the Notice of Decision and Reasons from IAD Toronto and the Minister's Counsel, right after the videocon hearing. We just don't know what the next step is for him to go back to Canada...we researched the IRB website..and saw this "

However, it doesn't say what we need to do next from our end, OR perhaps, we just have have to wait for IRCC or the Canadian Embassy Manila to communicate with us.... no clue:(
