Hi! I'm new here, just want to defibrillate this topic again. thank you for understanding and hope that you help.

I'm a Registered Nurse here in the Philippines and trying to apply in the LCP program (Canada).

I have no "paid" employment here in the Philippines so technically speaking I have no experience if you would count requirements of other countries, but I have 3 months "volunteer" experience in a hospital here in the Philippines. does that make sense?

My sister would be my future employer in Canada, she's a Canadian citizen together with her husband and kids below age 10. I know they are qualified since they already hired live-in nannys for their kids before. If that wouldn't work, I have my grandpa's sister whose also a citizen who needs a caregiver.

Will I be able to qualify in the LCP program if I have no paid employment here in the Philippines?

The guidelines in the CIC website is confusing me, thanks in advance! :)

yes you are qualified to apply as lic program using your being a RN instead of taking 6 months caregiver course.n use your R\N training during your schooling years. when it comes to the question regading work experience put "N/A" not applicable.

to start ask your family to apply for LMO

check this link

while you prepare the necessary documents to apply for work permit at the canadian embassy manila.

thank you wsongco

I was confused because of this guideline:

"Six months of continuous full-time training or 12 months of experience in paid employment in a caregiving
field or occupation related to the job you are seeking as a live-in caregiver."

Your training or experience should be in early childhood education, geriatric care, or pediatric nursing, to
name just a few areas. If you are a licensed registered nurse, with experience, you are normally
considered to meet this requirement.

hi! I just want to ask. I have the same problem with you. Were you able to apply for LIC Program even you didn't have a hospital experience? Thanks!
