???

I heard a lot of bad story at the border, lately my friend told me he know 2 filipino worker who got a new lmo and they try to get it in the border to get work permit but unfortunately they where handcuff and deported right away. They said there are some fraudalant or misrepresentation on their application.

Hi all

I thought I'd share my experience of getting a work permit at the border.

I first entered Canada on a working holiday visa (from New Zealand). I then received a positive LMO with the help of my employers and went to the States on vacation. When I came back into Canada (at the Niagara border) I applied for my new work permit at the land border. I had all of my documentation with me and it all went very smoothly. All I needed to show was my LMO and my job offer contract.

The only problem I had was that they didn't have the correct kind of paper to print my visa on so I got a phone call a few days later asking for my address so they could mail me a new work permit.

If you have any other questions I'd be happy to answer them as best I can.

Good luck!

I flagpoled successfully with a valid WP and an expired TRV.
