Hello All,
I had a quick question. So, I applied back in 2005. Process started June 2006. Had medical done in September 2009 and after 5 months of no response sent the Paris office a letter. I got the following in response.
Dear Applicant:
We are pleased to inform you that the processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is nearly complete. Once the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) has been paid, permanent resident visas can be issued for you and your accompanying dependants, if applicable. The amount required is CAD $490 for the principal applicant as well as for his or her accompanying spouse or common-law partner (maximum of 980$). The RPRF is refundable if you choose not to use your visa. The fee is refunded without interest and at the rate of exchange at the time of reimbursement. If you delay the payment of the RPRF, your security or medical results may no longer be valid. We therefore ask you to pay the RPRF within 30 days.
Yours truly,

I have a family of 6 with four children all above the age of 22. From my understanding I only have to pay for myself and my common-law partner. Is that correct?
Also, any ideas on how much longer I must wait after the payment to receive a passport request?
