hello All,

I applied for my parents sponsorship and got an email from Delhi asking for documents including proof of Permanent Residence Fee( to be sent to CPCM-EXTCOM@cic.gc.ca)

I paid this fees when I submitted the application for the first time in Jan. I am not able to find the receipt now. Is there a way to retrieve the same?

I checked online as well under my account and could not retrieve the same

Thanks,

Do you know what email you used when you paid the fee? CIC sends you an official receipt to that email.

Hi,
I provided my credit card details when we filled in the form and the amount was deducted from
my card
I never received an email as a proof

Thanks,

I know they send an email with receipt number which u will then add copy to your file. Is it possible for you to find that information on your credit card statement? Not sure if you could use that anyways

Yes, I do have a transaction line item in credit card statement which says CIC CPR- CIC RTC Mississauga ON

However there is no receipt number

If you paid your fees online, you have to have a valid email. So the receipt should be there.

I did not pay the fees online myself..CIC used my credit card details for the fees
I provided the credit card details in the sponsorship application

After a month or so, I saw the money being charged to the credit card without me having received any email

Isn't this the process which would have happened with everyone who applied for family sponsorship this year?

Is it possible that you are confusing the application fee with RPRF fee?? those are two separate fees.

The application fee is the one deducted when you file the application. That's when you write your credit card number. It is minimum $550 (one parent) and $1100 (for both parents).

RPRF is $490 (for one parent) or $980 (for both parents) and is typically paid in a later stage.

If your credit card was charged $550 or $1100 (depending on parents and dependents) than it was not RPRF you paid. It was the application fee only.

Ah, I guess you nailed it...you are right..the one I paid initially was an application fees vs an RPRF fee request I just received

Thanks so much!
