Right of Permanent Residence fee and Medical

Hi everyone!
I hope somone would be willing to answer theese questions for me! I tried searching but still wasen't sure if I found the right answers.

Am I able to pay the Right of Permanent Residence fee a little bit after the other fees? And in that case will it still put a delay on my whole application and how much time are we talking?

I understand that if I were to wait with paying it until my application would be approved it would delay it. But not sure how It would work if paid it a month or so after the other fees? I just wanted to wait until I got another pay work since I have both the Medical and the application to pay for that month and plus I have to travel to get my medical done.

And I also haven't quite understood how it works with the medical expireing either, even. Me and my husband are planning on going to Canada fall/winter 2015 even if my application isn't approved by then and just have me wait as a visitor until its done. But would my medical still count as expired even if Im in the country as a visitor? Could I in that case get it done in Canada even if I applied from Sweden?

I am just sharing my observation that getting med request and RPRF is a good sign for the case, after med you get PPR1/PPR2

it is not required to pay the RPRF upfront. there is the *chance* not paying it until it is requested can delay your process, and how long is dependant on the visa office and the specific officer handling your file. I waited until requested, and had no delay in processing. As soon as I paid the fee, my status changed to in process, then decision made within a couple of weeks. again, not everyone experiences the same thing, even at the same visa office. If the fee is sent before it's requested, and is attached to the file before the file is even opened, then the file will most likely process as if the fee was submitted "upfront".

as for the medical, the expiration of it has nothing to do with where the applicant is located, it's soley based on the DATE it was performed. generally, the medical exam is valid for 12 months, and cic has the ability to extend it longer to help the applicant land. A second medical is not recommended to do UNLESS it is specifically requested from CIC. Doing so will just cause delays and confusion about your file. If or when your medical exam expires, you can't assume they will ask you to redo the medical. they could easily make the decision to extend it and you have the right to ask them to do so. whether they do it is in their descretion, and i'm sure is dependant on the visa office and officer. If on the very slim chance you do need to get a remed done, yes, you can get it done at a panel doctor in canada. it's perfectly acceptable, you do not "have" to get it done where you are from.

Im still not sure how I should do it, wait a little longer with sending the application away until I can pay it all at the same time, but then at the same time risking my medical possibly expireing or send in my application and pay the Right of Permanent Residence fee a month or so later.

Either way Im glad I will be able to redo the exam incase it comes to that!

Provided you do your medical close to the actual app submission date, there is VERY little chance that it will expire before your app is approved.

There should be no delay if you send the app right away and then pay the RPRF a month later. The possibility of a delay comes when CIC needs to actually request the RPRF and wait for you to pay it.

Thank you SO much for your answer! This is exactly what I needed to hear! Then I'll pay ther PRDRF the month after the other fees so I dont have to work day and night, which would be difficult since I am a fulltime student aswell

There is no exact amount of days it's valid. Approximately a year.
