Right of Permanant Residence Fee Paid~ Now What?

Hi There,

I paid today, as requested the RPRF for my husband and I am trying to find out what happens next and how long it took others after fee was paid until he will receive his visa? They informed him at his interview he will not need to send his passport, they will let him know when visa is ready...once fee is paid. I know a big part of this is waiting and seeing but, I am poking around to see how long it took others until visa was in passport??

I believe it depends which visa office your husband is applying from ...

I was asked to pay the RPRF in June 2013 and I haven't heard anything yet still waiting.

Wow, since June?

Seems to me there is not rhyme or reason for the dates on when the visa will be ready... We are waiting from the Paris office...

Did the letter state how many days you have to pay the RPRF? Usually it is 30, 60 or 90 days that's when they will look back at your file. Your bring forward do you know when that is?

Hmm, well it wasn't an official letter, he contacted the Paris office and they just told him to tell me to pay it, so I did 2 days ago...now we see

okay it takes time to post the payment to your account but you can always call CIC Mississauga and confirm that the payment was in fact attached it does take 3-6 weeks. As for me it took 3 weeks until it Mississauga put in the system then they notify your visa office.
