Hi Toby, I submitted the photos to CIC Sydney Nova Scotia..toby said:And did you also submit the pics at the nearest Service Canada office? If so, that is valuable information for anyone waiting a long time for a PR card.
Actually they can, every Port of Entry has digital cameras for taking of PR photos. But sad to say, when secondary inspection (Immigration), became part of CBSA, they just don't seem to want to take the photos.Honolulu said:Friends, I must thank one and all for your considered responses, especially Xyrus and PMM.
Now it seems like this is not so much an uncommon problem.
I agree I am lucky that I am in Canada and really feel your anger, Rhetorisch.
Anyway, CIC finally sent me the red letter (for those who are wondering what that is - it is printed on red paper - and has instructions on the photo size etc.). I do need to go in person to submit the pic :.
I took the new set of photos today and will submit them at the St. Claire office on Monday.
Lets hope it turns out OK.
Lord if only they could take our photos on landing and just mail off the cards :'(.
Isn't that what happens elsewhere?
head to chin size is critical.adetia9 said:Why are so many photos being rejected?
Reason I ask is that I'm going to have my photo taken for this purpose on Friday with my daughter.
Humsafar, the instructions will be given in the mail they send you.humsafar said:Honolulu. Can u share the specifications of photos mentioned in the red letter. It will benifit many of us
5-7 weeks is normal.rubyalabar said:Just want to ask, where do I check if my PR card is already sent to me ? I landed February 4 and it's been 6 weeks, no PR card in the mail still. Do I just contact the call centre?
Thanks.
