REVIEW REQUIRED - what new docs can I send?

Hello,

My AOR was December 29th, 2018, so I’ve been waiting for 6 months and 2 weeks now. In my last GCMS notes from May 30th, it says that I’m currently in Review Required. I’ve read some posts that recommend I be proactive and submit further documents before they request them/reject me

But I’m looking at my notes and I don’t know what information they are missing/what further documents I can send? It looks like they last wrote up notes in March and they haven't touched my application since

My employment history has all been with 1 employer, continuous:

- Intern (2017/06 – 2017/09, 3 months, 20 hrs/week) *I was paid a stipend
- Project Coordinator (2017/10 – 2018/07, 9 months, 20 hrs/week)
- Asset Manager (2018/08-2018/12, 4 months, 36 hrs/week)

So one potential issue is the analyst’s notes are incorrect about the duration of my jobs. But my initial documents already have this information. Granted, because I didn’t want my employer to know I was applying for Canada, I had to cobble together various documents, but they are all on company letterhead and everything.

My office is Ottawa, if that means anything.

You don't have enough work experience. You need a minimum of 1560 hours to be eligible, but you only have 1440 hours. Your application will be refused.

I don't know where you got 1,440 hours, but I have 1,896 hours, and if I discount my internship, it's still 1,616 hours.

• July 2017 - September 2017: 14 weeks * 20hrs = 280 hrs
• October 2017 - July 2018: 43 weeks * 20 hrs = 860 hrs
• August 2018 - December 2018: 21 weeks * 36 hrs = 756 hrs

My question, though, is not about my hours - if there was an issue with hours, the analyst should have mentioned it in the GCMS notes. Right now, the analyst hasn't mention any missing information, it seems. Based off the notes, what other documents can I submit to help with my application?

I was just calculating based off what you posted, with 4 weeks to a month

1. 12 weeks * 20 = 240 hours
2. 36 weeks * 20 = 740 hours
3. 16 weeks * 30 = 480 hours (They only count 30 hours a week, not more, regardless of how many hours you worked).

Even if I use your new dates .

1. 14 * 20 = 280
2. 43 * 20 = 860
3. 21 * 30 = 630

So with the internship, yes, you have enough hours. Without it, you don't. Paid internships do usually count so that shouldn't be an issue. However, it depends on the documents you submitted. Do they prove that you did the work listed in the NOC?

You said that you had "had to cobble together various documents, but they are all on company letterhead and everything." That's probably why your work experience is being reviewed - doesn't sound like you had a straightforward letter from your company HR/manager saying that you worked there. They may end up calling your company to confirm the details of your work experience.

If you have everything in order you will eventually get it, but it's clearly going to take longer.

Yes, my documents have detailed descriptions of my jobs, they mention benefits, they're signed by the HR Manager with contact info, etc. I do have one summary letter from my HR Manager that mentions how long I've been at my company overall, my hours, when I started being full-time, and that (in December, when I received AOR) I was currently working there.

I also submitted paystubs from the last 3 months - I'm working in the US, so the paystubs look legit.

I'm just wondering, based off the analyst's notes, if there are other documents I can submit to further bolster my application. I feel like I've been as comprehensive as I could, without tipping off my employer as to my intentions.

I really hope they call my company, instead of rejecting my application because it's slightly more complex than usual!!!
