Returning to canada with study permit approved letter

Hello friends,
I got my study permit approved letter from canadian government to continue my study here. But my visa got expired already and i am waiting for a delivery of hard copy of my study permit to my address. I have already moved to the new address and as i got the approval so i can not even change the address online. its been three weeks and i did not get the hard copy of my study permit so i can not apply for the visa renew. Now I have to travel to India for some reasons in the end of this month. So i am afraid of returning to canada with just study permit approved letter. I am not sure how long is it going to take to process online from India. Is there any other way to return to canada back with study permit approved letter? Please revert me as soon as possible.

unfortunately you cannot return to Canada without TRV, if you leave Canada to India or other country rather than the US,
you can maybe find someone to check on your mailbox while your away and apply for TRV in India or you may have to change your plan and stay in Canada.

I am paying the price for leaving Canada without obtaining the TRV and my passport has been in the embassy for 2 month without any updates !

Thanks for your advice abbas. Can I apply for TRV with the approved letter because it has application number and UCI there. I am not too sure if this is the right way.
