Hello,

I left Canada in the end of May, when my Visitor Visa expired.. my boyfriend is Canadian and we want to apply for a Sponsorship and PR once I can go back, which I'd like to do as soon as possible. I've heard that when you only have a Visitor Visa (I'm German, technically I don't even need one..) and you leave Canada, you are not allowed back in for the next 6 months. Is that true? Or could I basically come back anytime I wanted without getting in trouble at the border?

Thank you so much for your help!

Anna :D

No - there is no six month rule.

Whether you are allowed into Canada and for how long is up to the immigration officer you encounter when you enter Canada. If it looks like you are coming to Canada with the intention of living here, this could create problems at the border for you. However if it appears you are a genuine visitor - you should be fine.

Thank you so much!! This is awesome news, I really thought I'd have to wait 6 months each time I can re-enter!!
