Returned application but not sure WHY!! (missing dependents in IMM0008)

My whole package returned by CIC...it stated that "A current, completed and signed Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM0008) validated online with information for the Principal Applicant and all dependents, if applicable, whether accompanying or not."
my husband is the sponsor and 2 of my kids both are Canadians...as I know I dont have to put the kids as dependents...so I have no idea what should i do now...Shd i add them on the forms?? but it doesnt seem right to do that as they do not need to be sponsored... I am totally confused by CIC agents...my husband called them earlier, some of them told us we have to include everyone even they are Canadians but some of them told us we dont need to put down the kids name and maybe theres a mistake for the person who opened my package....
I am totally stuck here...donno what should I do...thats totally wasting my efforts...
Please kindly help me~~ anyone with the same experience as I do????

I believe you should include them anyways, and if you are still uncomfortable about doing so, just add a supplementary note with the form explaining in detail that they are already Canadian citizens, and (presumably) living with their father.

Thats definitely one problem, The kids are dependent whether they are Canadian or not, Accompanying of not! and they check list says you should fill the form if you have dependents.

I would also check if there is any other form that is not there or not signed. also include the checklist.

Which version of the form did you send? CIC last updated it in April 2015.

1. Neither of you are correct. Please at least the instructions. Go to Page 3 of the IMM 0008, read the section above dependents , where it says "who are not already permanent residents or citizens of Canada" The Children would only appear on the IMM 5406.,

This might be an obvious question, but did you fill out the form on the computer and validate it so that the barcodes appear? I'm not sure about the dependents part but that could have been why the package was returned if you did not validate the form and generate the barcodes

Yes I did validated the form and there are barcodes as well...thats just too confused if i put kids as dependants on IMM0008, then my husband would have to put "3" for question number 5A "Numbers of person currently undertaking?" on IMM5481...But i am the only one needs to be sponsored....

Read what PMM said above your children should only be included in IMM5406.

Personally I would go back to the CIC website and check all forms just in case they have been updated in the time you submitted the application to now and print off and complete any that have. I would also complete a new IMM0008 and check you have included the children in IMM5406.

Then make sure all forms are signed where appropriate and double check you have included everything on the checklists. Then I would include a cover letter explaining your application was sent back and the changes you have made to update it. Then stick it back in the post.
