Return to Canada while PGWP processing

Did you tell them you are waiting for PGWP to be approved? Or how did they know? They don't have access to IRCC data.
Also, fully vaxxed visitors are allowed to come to Canada starting Sept 7, 2021, provided they have valid ETA/TRV.
I know airlines have been asking for proof of temporary residency before Sept 7, 2021, but they shouldn't now.

Thanks for your reply. I am fully vaxxed so hoping my travel won't be a problem with the WP-EXT letter.

They just ask you for proof of residency, status and TRV
