Return Application

Hi All, Just need some serious advice here. I have applied for my spouse sponsorship from Canada. I am a PR and my wife is in India. I sent an application on 18th Jan 2018 and CIC received it on 19th Jan 2018.

Now, online status says in Process and my representative has spoken to CIC customer support and got the file number in April. I haven't received the AOR yet. When I called CIC they are saying that the application has been returned to you on 7th March but neither my representative or myself have received any package or letter.

I was waiting for AOR to apply for her Visit visa.

Please advise that what should I do? I haven't received an

You will need to find out why the application was returned. For example, what form or signature is missing...etc.

BUT on the side, AOR will not help her application for a visitor visa. She needs to demonstrate tie to home country. Not to Canada.

Yes, She is currently full time employed in India which I can show for Visit visa but my representative says that we also need to reference the current application which is in process.

I am not sure that if file is returned or not. The customer service agent said that the letter inside the package will explain the reason for return but we haven't received the package yet. That is the problem.

Online status doesn't says returned. Its says "In process" but only call center agents are saying its returned

if it is returned and I or my representative have not received it then how do we know the current status of my application.

I would request you to try calling the CIC again and check for the status.

Also, please apply for TRV for your spouse. In that you can mention your future intention to apply for sponsorship.

So you mean that I can go ahead and apply for visit visa (TRV) and mention that I have already applied for sponsorship
