Retired Sponsor

Hi everyone...i just want to know if my fiancee can still sponsor me going to Canada even if he is already retired, He will retired this coming September 2018 and going to Philippines to get married and he will sponsor me going to Canada...Is there any possibility that the Canadian Embassy deny our application?

Being retired is not an impediment to sponsorship.
