At 466 points, I know it's possible we will be in the next draw, and yet the two Slovak police certificates we obtained over Christmas have just expired, and the FBI report, which I applied for also over Christmas, has not yet arrived or even been charged to my credit card.
If we are included in the next draw, remember that we have 60 days to file. We sent off applications to the poor Slovak embassy in Ottawa today to get new certificates there, and they should arrive within 60 days. We intend to do that every 3 months until we're invited to apply. I figure that if the foreign embassies complain to Canada about this, Canada will change the rule. Until then, we have no choice.
If the American PC doesn't arrive by 59 days after the ITA is issued, we intend to send an explanatory note with our application. After all, it is sure to arrive during the 6-month processing period!
No stress over things you have no control over, and the FBI is definitely out of our control!
