Retake IELTS after submission to improve the result points, is it possible ?

Dear All,
I have scored in IELTS GT (7(L) 7.5(R) 6.5(W) 8 (S).and mentioned French is basic in reading and writing without a proof in my app. whether it is the old system or the new system I have 2 points missing in English.
I have already sent the IELTS certificate upon Paris office request in June 2009. Can I retake IELTS and resend it to Paris to replace the old one?. Just to avoid any hazard of rejecting my file in case they decided to cut off the backlog of those before Feb 2008.

You can send IELTS score before decsion to be taken on your file

for new system its required to have L - 7.5 and 6.5 in rest of the module to gain 16 points for English langauage
